🐶General description

“Hello, this is Lulu. You probably saw my litter go up for adoption not too long ago. I arrived with my little ones and took very good care of them. However, it was time for me to let them stand on their own two feet. I found their departure a little difficult, however, and had to adapt. I'm really on the right track, but let's just say I need to learn to be more self-confident. My host family say that I'm very affectionate and friendly by nature. In fact, I love the company of the humans I know and enjoy being close to them. I can never give them enough kisses to express my love. I have a fairly high energy level, but once well spent and in a calm environment, I'm able to stay wisely glued to my humans, waiting for their caresses. I am, however, fearful of people I don't know. I need to be allowed to approach at my own pace.

🐕🐈👶Cohabitation

In my foster home, I currently live with 2 other 4-legged friends with whom I really enjoy playing. There is, however, one who doesn't seem to want to play the way I do. At first, I found it hard to understand, but I was helped along and now I respect him when he prefers me to leave him alone. On the other hand, if I'm given the go-ahead for a run or to bicker, I'm more than happy. So I could cohabit with another playful, well-balanced canine companion. I also live with 3 teenage girls. Things generally go well with them and I adore them. But because I'm anxious, I sometimes find it hard to contain the emotions they bring out in me. That's why it would be better for me to stay in a calm environment to help me manage my emotions. As far as felines are concerned, I've never met one, but we think it might be better if my family didn't have any, as I tend to be fearful of new things.

🏡Inside

When my foster family is away, I'm in a cage and it usually goes well. I may occasionally vocalize to express my desire to stay with my humans, but if I'm well spent, I usually go quietly in exchange for a few treats. So, since I can be vocal from time to time, it would be best if I were NOT placed in an apartment or condo. The rest of the time, I'm free in the house and that goes pretty well. It has to be said, however, that I have a tendency to nibble at the blankets. I'll have to keep a close eye on that, as I've already had to undergo surgery for that reason, and I'd really like to avoid going through that again.

🦴Did I mention that I love to eat? Indeed, I'm a real glutton. Whether it's my food or yours I'm always ready to have a feast even if it's not dedicated to me. My love of food can come in handy for teaching me new tricks, though. I know how to sit down when I want a treat. I don't really enjoy sharing my food or bones with my companions. Environmental management is therefore required to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

🌳Outdoors

I'm currently lucky enough to have a fenced yard where I can run around freely with my friends. I love running with them and having the freedom to do so. I'm learning to walk on a leash because I tend to pull. However, I'm currently doing my outings on the lead to familiarize myself with the environment around me. I really need this for my self-confidence to grow. As I said earlier, I'm rather shy of new things. I'm getting better every day, but I'd prefer to live in a quiet, low-traffic environment to be less stressed during my walks.

🚗Transport and handling

Handling is more difficult for me. I have to go at my own pace and with gentleness. With treats in hand, I always cooperate better. In the car, I'm pretty good. I prefer to sit as close as possible to my humans, and remain quiet throughout the journey. I may want to give you a little kiss or cuddle on the way, so it's important that I'm restrained to avoid disturbing you.

💙I am looking for an EXPERIENCED and PATIENT family who will take the time to develop a trusting relationship with me. I may look big but in my head I'm still a young puppy! I'm dog-friendly, but it would be preferable for me to live in a child-free environment. I'll prove to you that I'm a loyal life partner if you give me a chance!”
