🐶General description

“Hi, I'm Masko! You'll find that I know my name very well and come back very quickly when you call me! I'm a dog of venerable age, but don't be fooled, I have enough energy to go and take long walks in the forest. I've spent most of my life outdoors, so I'm still having a little trouble getting used to the comforts of home. The more time passes, the more I enjoy sleeping in the warmth of a rug!

🐕🐈👶Cohabitation

I love the company of my two canine friends who come with me to my foster home, even though they help me a lot with my new life. They make me feel better. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that I NEED to live with a four-legged friend in order to feel fulfilled. I live with cats, and I must admit that I like to chase them. For this reason, it would be safer for me not to live with them to avoid an unfortunate accident. When there are visitors, I'm always the first to greet them. In that sense, I can live with old children who will respect me.

🏠Inside

As mentioned earlier, I spent several years living and sleeping outside, so the inner life is still new to me. Sometimes I've whined a bit, but that's normal considering the change I've faced. As my host family is telecommuting, I'm lucky enough to always have someone with me, and I like that. I haven't been left alone for very long, so this would be something to work on gradually and gently with me. When my humans eat, I sit quietly next to them, hoping to get a bite! As for cleanliness, it's completely acquired!

🦴I currently eat separately from my canine companions so as not to disturb them. When my portion is finished, I wait patiently. I haven't shown any resource-protective behavior. I like it when I'm given bones to chew on.

🌳Outdoors

I love going for walks in the woods, smelling new smells and being with my foster family. I'm so happy outdoors! My greatest wish would be to be adopted by a family that would allow me to go and enjoy the outdoors to the full. When walking on a leash, I don't pull. If I meet other people or dogs on my walks, I just say hello and go on my way.

🚗 Transport and handling

At the moment, I haven't really done any road trips, but I'm getting in on my own! I think I'll be just as comfortable making journeys in it. I love being cuddled, but I can be more sensitive to certain manipulations. I'm also learning how to get a harness put on me; it's not my favorite part yet, but I'm cooperating all the same. Desensitization will therefore have to continue at this level.

🩺Given my advanced age, like all senior dogs, I'm showing signs of joint stiffness and osteoarthritis. Despite this, I love to run, jump and hike with my foster humans. I will need to maintain a healthy weight and exercise moderately. Chiots Nordiques provides the adoptive family with omega-3 and joint food to start my care at home. What's more, the adoption fee is reduced to $150 for me.

💙In summary, I'm an old boy looking for a LOVING, PRESENT and PATIENT family with whom I can live out my final years. A canine friend is a MUST for me and I would love to share my life with a family that will allow me to enjoy the outdoors. If you agree to make room for me in your life, you'll see that I have love to spare and will be eternally grateful.”
